As Employer Brand Manager for IHG Global based in the US, Ly is responsible for ensuring that IHG’s culture, and its 350,000 employees, are amongst the best in the world.
Ly joined IHG in 2006. Since her arrival, she has worked in various capacities that have given her an acute understanding of the company and the importance of its human capital. Ly’s main focus in her areas of responsibilities is making sure IHG is the employer of choice for talents and ensuring IHG Commitment of Room for you is delivered to its employees every day. Ly is also a trainer at IHG New Employee and New Manager Orientations, allowing her to become well acquainted with IHG employees at all levels, and throughout every stage of their career. She is a champion of IHG employer brand programs such as their Commitment program, a formalized promise IHG makes to its employees to support them throughout their career--from on-boarding to growth to continued recognition. She is also closely involved in IHG’s Winning Ways program, which nurtures the values of the organization, as well as its Vision, an initiative to consistently be one of the world’s best companies. Because IHG is a global organization serving guests all over the world and having a background and strong interest of always working with, being involved in and helping people, Ly believes diversity is crucial to any organization’s success, resulting in it being an employer of choice.
Originally born in Vietnam, Ly came to the US in 1975 and later earned a degree in Psychology from Emory University. Ly lives in Dunwoody, Georgia with her husband, a former two time US Olympic athlete.
